To attract young talents for a career at EDEKA, we rely on innovative storytelling, authentic communication and professional video production. Our customised talent communication not only focuses on individual training occupations but also the diversity of career opportunities at EDEKA. We support the regional companies EDEKA Südwest and EDEKA Minden-Hannover in finding new talents – from trainees and young professionals to career changers.
Insights on the EDEKA Minden-Hannover YouTube channel
EDEKA relies on a balanced mix of informative, entertaining and targeted formats to address its target groups directly. A central component of EDEKA Minden-Hannover’s communication measures is the YouTube channel @wirliebentalente. There, we regularly provide authentic insights into the various apprenticeships and the corporate culture at EDEKA. Formats such as ‘BerufsCHECK’, in which trainees show their day-to-day work, and the interactive ‘Talente Battle – Azubi vs. Boss’, in which trainees and managers compete against each other, generate a great deal of attention. Collaborations with influencers and other content partners complement the communication strategy and increase reach through multiplier effects. The YouTube channel has now achieved over 7 million views and is a real highlight for training and HR marketing.
We support EDEKA Minden-Hannover with professional video productions in the area of personnel and trainee marketing and develop target group-orientated strategies and video formats for YouTube. We also provide strategic advice on the conception of social media content, design editorial and graphic communication materials and offer practical workshops, for example on TikTok and website optimisation.

In 2020, we redesigned the trainee website for EDEKA Südwest, and three years later we relaunched it as a comprehensive career website for all target groups. Regardless of whether there is only a basic interest at the time users access the website or whether they want to apply for a specific position – the website now offers everything potential applicants need.
We still manage the website today and offer EDEKA Südwest various services from a single source:
- We provide support with strategic considerations and the content concept
- We implement content productions – from text and photos to videos
- We maintain the website continuously and keep it up-to-date
We had our goal in mind for all measures: To inspire people of all ages for a professional future at EDEKA.
